The Myths

Almost from the day her keel was laid, the Titanic began to accumulate myths and legends about her.  On the pages that follow, some of the more persistent and pervasive of these myths and legends, some of them interesting, some bizarre, and others downright absurd or outrageous, will be addressed and,  if need be, debunked.  Ultimately the truth about the tragedy that was the Titanic disaster is amazing by itself–it doesn’t require the embellishments of fantasy.
